Attention Bass Angler Headquarters fans, I am very pleased to announce the launch of a new segment to the site – Fishing The Yak! As the name suggests, this will be an informative bass fishing segment directed at the Kayak Angler. Just like FTB, we will deliver you with articles, reviews, recaps, and much more fun content.
There are many reasons that I decided to make this addition to the website. The following are some of the most important.
- Great option for Co-Anglers: Now, kayak fishing may not be for everybody, but lets face it, the majority of us will not be running a new bass boat anytime soon. A kayak is an excellent option for those of you who still want to get out on the water without all of the expenses and maintenance of owning a motor-powered boat. While I was skeptical of kayak fishing at first (due to my familiarity with bass boats) I faced the fact that it’s a great way to get on the water and fish. The fact that kayak fishing aligns so well with the Co-Angler market is the #1 reason why I decided to launch this segment. It is quite simply a good way to stay on the water, whether you still tournament fish out of a boat or not.
- Economic way to get on the water: As previously stated, fishing from a kayak is loads cheaper than bass boats-used or new. You also don’t need to own a big gas-guzzling pickup to haul a kayak. There are racks available that will allow you to mount nearly any kayak to any vehicle. At the end of the day, you can catch endless fish for a very affordable price.
- Promotes a healthy lifestyle: I believe that it is important to take care of yourself with a healthy diet and exercise. One pro of fishing out of a kayak is that you are staying active and getting exercise, while at the same time, enjoying a day fishing. It’s a win-win situation!
- Kayak Fishing market is growing: Another important reason to include this new segment is the fact that this industry is growing, and has great potential. We want to help grow the sport in any way we can, and we saw this as a great opportunity to expand our following.
Some of you may be super excited for this, while others may not have any interest in fishing out of a kayak. I understand this, and can assure you that this will in no way change the way we are doing things on the Bass Angler Headquarters portion of the site. We will simply add this in and cover both Co-Angling and Kayak Fishing for those interested. I am very excited to start off with our new addition and hope that you, our wonderful fans, will support and help us grow it!
Thanks for taking the time to read! Please feel free to submit suggestions for new articles and content.
