To our delight, the largemouth bass fishing in northeastern Kansas, which had been wretched during September, was stellar during four of our October outings. We caught 121 largemouth bass on Oct. 9, and that was our most fruitful outing. We caught 108 largemouth bass on Oct.2, 87 largemouth bass on Oct. 21, and 76 largemouth bass on Oct. 23.
