Conditions: Air temp was about 85 degrees. Water temp was about 61-64 degrees. Wind was 0-5 mph. Fished from 7:00am-4:30pm.
I launched out of Russo’s marina in Bethel Island at about 7:00am planning on cranking the rock walls early and then drop shot deeper water during low tide. The bite was pretty slow in the morning but picked up a bit as the morning progressed and the tide started moving.
I started getting more action cranking a KVD 1.5 square bill in red craw catching plenty of small fish. Later I switched over a Hammer Down Bait Company swim jig and was able to get into some better quality fish landing two nice ones.
The bite really slowed around 1:00pm-3:00pm. I switched over to drop shot and caught a few more fish on a 5” straight tail bold bluegill robo worm. I wrapped things up around 4:30 and headed back to the dock.
