Lake Guntersville Bass Fishing Report – 4×4 Swim Jigs Still Producing Solid Fish on Gville

Category : BASS FISHING REPORTS

If you don’t mind fishing in the cold the bite is still strong right now on Lake Guntersville.  We’ve had winter like weather this past week and the water temperature has dropped to the high 40’s to low 50’s as the bass continue to move into the creeks.  The cooler weather has also knocked down the grass that continued to grow until recently.

My clients and I are still having the best success fishing a 1/4oz white 4×4 swim jig paired with a 3.5″ Yamamoto Swimbait, but we’ve had to slow down our presentation and make multiple casts in the same area to get the fish to react. Once we catch one we can usually catch a few more as the fish are still grouped up right now in a lot of areas.

The creeks in the mid to upper end of the lake have produced best recently as we’ve focused our efforts from Waterfront up to Scottsboro.

I have December 1-5th available, so bring your warm clothes and let’s go fishing!
