2019 Big Bass Junior Championship
Category : BASS TOURNAMENT NEWS
The Big Bass Junior Championship is a tournament designed for High School and College anglers. This tournament allows you to begin fishing on Jan. 1, and fish anytime, anywhere, through Aug. 15.
You’re fishing anyway, so we designed a tournament around your busy schedule, allowing you to fish on your time when you typically wouldn’t be able to fish modern style tournaments. Even if you are fishing those tournaments, and catch a fish, you can enter it to win!
The Big Bass Junior Championship the High School and College anglers tournament by the official magazine of the “weekend angler,” Bassin’ Magazine.
How does it work you ask? It is simple. Based on Bassin’ belief of catch and release, Bassin Magazine designed this tournament for you. Here’s how.
Pay the $25 entry fee, and get 1 year free of Bassin’ Magazine delivered to you in your mailbox. Also, get the official BBJC Ruler in your mailbox. When you receive the official BBJC Ruler, download the forms, and START FISHING!
Catch a fish. Any size bass! (BBJC finalists sometimes can not make it to the finals and 2nd place is invited!) Always send in your catch! Take a photo of your catch with the official F&H Ruler, showing the bass length. Make sure you show the entire ruler and fish in the photo. The 2nd photo is you wrapping the ruler around the fish, and showing its girth. The 3rd photo is you holding the fish. (Take your best selfie shot, you may end up on the cover of Bassin’ Magazine!) Complete the certification forms and mail it in with your photos.
Watch the official leaderboard and see your name next to your state! It’s that easy! You’re fishing anyway! You can’t win if you don’t enter!
Here’s a recent video from our buddy Tony McCalmant with some GREAT information and tips on how you might catch some fish this time of year there in Northern Idaho, Lake Pend Oreille.
