Lake Guntersville Bass Fishing Report – Gville summertime bass fishing

It feels like summer is here to stay with the string of hot and humid days we’ve had in North Alabama this week, and the water temperature is now in the low 80’s

My clients and I have been exclusively targeting offshore bass along Gville’s drops in 10 to 25 feet of water.  It can take patience and perseverance sometimes, but I feel it’s the most effective way to target Gville’s bass during the summertime.

We’ve been fishing an arsenal of lures on the ledges, including 1/2 and 3/4 oz Picasso Double Barrel Underspins, 3/4 oz 4×4 Football Jigs, 6″ Senkos threaded on Picasso Shake E Football Heads, and hair jigs.

Once you get the school fired up you can catch them on just about any presentation, but it’s important to find the best presentation to get them fired up if they’re not already active.

The offshore fishing is here to stay for the summer, so if you’d like to book a trip with me on Lake Guntersville please contact me for current availability.
