Lake Guntersville Bass Fishing Report – Vicious Topwater Blowups

Category : BASS FISHING REPORTS, HAWK TALK

The middle portion of Lake Guntersville from Siebold Creek to North Sauty has been producing well for my clients and I this week. We’ve focused on isolated grass clumps and grass lines in 5 to 9 feet along the main and secondary rivers channels and creek mouths. The DUO Realis Pencil 110 in Neo Pearl (a loud walking style topwater bait) is getting vicious blowups in low light conditions and when the bass are chasing bait. We’re also catching good quality fish on 5 and 6″ soft-bodied swimbaits rigged on 1/2 oz jig heads fished slowly in and around the grass. Large green pumpkin Texas-rigged plastics fished in the same areas are also producing well.
