Lake Guntersville Bass Fishing Report with Kevin Hawk

Gville 6-17-14

Kevin Hawk – The weather and bass fishing on Lake Guntersville is hot right now.  My clients haven’t been catching a ton of numbers, but the overall fish quality is solid.  I’ve been focusing on ledges and drops along the main river and creek channels on the lower end of the lake fishing heavy swimbaits, 3/4 oz 4×4 Football Bass Jigs in Hawk’s Prey and Guntersville Magic colors, and 3/4 oz Picasso Shake-E-Football heads rigged with 7-10” green pumpkin plastics.

Fishing out deep changes by the hour depending on how much current is running through the lake, so it’s important to have several schools located and several ways to catch them.  Looking at your electronics to find the schools is essential right now.

If you’d like to book a trip with me to learn more about ledge fishing, understanding your electronics, or just looking to enjoy a good time fishing please Kevin Hawk’s Lake Guntersville Guide Service
