Lewis Smith Lake Bass Fishing Report – Great Weather and Fun Fishing
Category : BASS FISHING REPORTS, HAWK TALK
We’ve had a week of gorgeous weather in North Alabama and the spotted bass fishing on Smith Lake continues to be a blast. The water temperature is around 70 degrees right now and the lake level continues to fall.
My clients have been catching all of their fish on three different presentations this week, including topwater, swimbaits, and dropshotting. These presentations do a great job of covering the entire water column, which is important this time of year on Smith.
When topwater fishing on Smith Lake it’s important to make long casts in the clear water, so that’s why I have my clients throw the 3/4 oz DUO Realis Pencil 110. Not only is it heavy, but its aerodynamic body and strategic tail hook-eye placement allow for maximum casting distance even when fishing into the wind. My number one color choice on Smith is Neo Pearl.
I have dates available in November for both Smith Lake and Lake Guntersville. If you’d like to book a trip please contact me to confirm availability.
