Springtime Bass Fishing with DUO Realis Jerkbaits and Crankbaits
Category : SPRINGTIME BASS FISHING

In the Springtime there are several different styles of jerk baits that I like using, on a clear sunny day I like to use more of a translucent bait which gives the appearance of a smaller bait fish. But on cloudy days I like a bait with chrome on it which gives off more flash. My favorite jerk bait is a DUO Realis 110SP I also use Lucky craft pointer 97MR I use the pointer in shallow water and the DUO Realis 110SP in deeper water. And when I am in open water I use the Lucky Craft Staysee 90 it goes to a depth of 10ft and deeper depending on the line size I use. In 2019 I am looking forward to fishing in the FLW Costa Western Division tournaments, to make the Championship and go on to the Forest Wood Cup.

I have fished other tournaments such as The Texas Team Trail and the Us Open and smaller Tournaments as a Co-Angler. The next progression that I have planned is the FLW Costa Series out west where I live and fish. So it was only a natural progression for me to start my Co Angler experience in the FLW Costa Western Division Series. My Future goals in Fishing are to fish a few years as a Co-Angler and win Co-angler of the year and learn as much as I can to enter into the Pro Division. My favorite go-to baits in the Spring are, DUO Realis M658A Crankbait, shallow medium diver, and the DUO Realis M625A Crankbait, which is also a shallow diver. I use these two baits while fishing the shoreline while looking for spawning fish. When I’m fishing deeper for pre and post spawn Bass, I like to use the DUO Realis G87 20A Crankbait
We’ll see you out on the water!
